Economic Development
Tallahassee is a wonderful place to live and do business. In addition to our coveted All America City award, the Tallahassee area has received a number of national rankings:

Forbes Magazine: Top 20% Business Place
Inc Magazine: Top 50 Small Metro Area
People Magazine: Top 3 Most Livable City
Yahoo: FSU 18th most wired university in the country.

Tallahassee is in a unique position to attract high wage technology businesses to our area. Key factors giving Tallahassee a competitive advantage include FSU’s National High Magnetic Field Laboratory, several world class business parks, 2 state universities, a community college and a vocational technical center.

This community has made some pretty imressive steps toward the goal of diversifying Tallahassee’s economy through Technology. Representative Ausley continues to work with the Tallahassee Chamber of Commerce, the Economic Development Council, small business owners and all levels of government to ensure that our community is doing everything possible to support our existing businesses and to attract new business to the area.

Letter From Loranne

Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to serve as your Representative for House District 9. I appreciate the input I have received from so many of you over the last eight years. Because of your calls, emails, letters and visits, I have been able to focus on the issues that are important to Tallahassee and the surrounding area. These issues include working to improve our children's public schools, safeguarding our environment, protecting our state jobs and other economic development efforts. Thanks for visiting my website, and please stay in touch!
